Al-Garash began in the heart of a creative businessman named Ahmed Abdullah Hizam. With little more than a dream and determination, he started his business over forty years ago in the city of Aden; the capital of then South Yemen. The city of Aden beheld the small trader grow into a leading contractor and general merchant.

Creativity, reliability and industry distinguished the company's activities. From private and public building contracts to the only explosives importer in South Yemen, Hizam's company had made a mighty name in the business community: Al-Garash.

By 1980, Al-Garash investments in diversified trade, construction and imports had birthed a vision for company expansion. Customer satisfaction made this vision reality as consistent quality products and services at competitive prices, catapulted company profitability.
